In this guide, I show how to unlock all 12 Steam achievements in Can ‘Em All. I cover weapons, factory upgrades, the Casino, permanent upgrades, hidden achievements, and how to unlock the ending.
I also explain the correct order for unlocking the Casino and selling your factory, so you don’t miss their emails after discovering the ending.
Weapons & Factory Upgrades
At the end of each day, enter the elevator to access the Upgrade Tree.
Follow the connected branches to unlock:
- New weapons and ammunition.
- Additional processing machines.
- Conveyor belts and automated production.
- Turrets and other factory improvements.
Tip: Prioritize can value, production speed, and conveyor belts. Once your factory runs automatically, earning money becomes much easier.
Make sure to complete every conveyor route. An unfinished conveyor won’t automatically deliver your cans to the selling tube.
How to Unlock the Casino
You can unlock the Casino through the game’s email system.
Follow these steps:
- Progress through the Upgrade Tree and unlock the Bat, Knife, and Pistol.
- Continue working and progressing through the story emails.
- After receiving the Today’s Special email, wait for the Feeling Lucky email.
- Open the Feeling Lucky email on your computer and click Accept.
- The Casino button will now be unlocked.
Important: You must accept the email. Simply purchasing the Pistol isn’t enough.
The Casino is optional and isn’t required for any Steam achievement.
How to Unlock Sell Your Factory
You cannot sell your factory until you receive a specific company email.
Follow these steps:
- Continue progressing through the game’s story emails.
- Unlock the Uzi to progress past the When Money Was the Problem email.
- Unlock the AK-47 to receive the Excellent Work email.
- Continue until you receive An Offer You Can’t Refuse.
- Open the email and click Accept.
- The Sell Your Factory option will now become available.
Important: Buying every upgrade doesn’t automatically unlock this option. You must progress through the emails and accept the factory offer.
Selling your factory starts a Prestige run and unlocks the A Fresh Start achievement.
Hidden Achievements (4/12)
Not a Can
– Throw a creature’s dead body into the transport tube instead of a can.
Fresh Meat
– Grind a creature while it’s still alive.
Human Meat
– Jump into the processor yourself.
Special Delivery
– Jump into the transport tube yourself.
Warning: Human Meat and Special Delivery will end your current day.
Permanent Upgrades & Prestige
Once you’ve unlocked Sell Your Factory, you can start earning permanent upgrade points.
Follow these steps:
- Open the Sell Your Factory menu.
- Check how many points you’ll receive.
- Confirm the sale to restart your factory.
- Spend your points on Permanent Upgrades.
- Repeat until you’ve purchased all permanent upgrades.
Permanent Upgrades remain unlocked even after future factory resets.
Buying every permanent upgrade unlocks The Perfect Employee.
Tip: Try to feed 100,000 children before selling your factory for the first time, since Prestige resets your current progress toward that achievement.
Important Tip Before the Ending
IMPORTANT: Unlock the Casino and Sell Your Factory before completing the ending!
The game’s code switches to a different email sequence after you discover the ending.
This can prevent you from receiving the Casino and Factory Sale emails if you haven’t unlocked them yet.
Recommended order:
- Unlock the Casino through Feeling Lucky.
- Unlock Factory Sale through An Offer You Can’t Refuse.
- Complete your remaining achievements and Prestige upgrades.
- Discover the ending whenever you’re ready.
Already finished the game?
If the emails never arrived, you may need to restore a pre-ending save or start a new game to complete the normal progression.
Unlocking the Ending
You can unlock the ending without selling your factory first.
Follow these steps:
- Purchase every regular upgrade in the factory’s Upgrade Tree.
- Wait for the message confirming that you can repay your debt.
- Unlock the final upgrade, Freedom at Last.
- Save $666,666,666 and purchase it.
- Return upstairs and go through the previously locked exit door.
- Use the elevator to finish the game.
Important: Unlocking the Freedom at Last upgrade in the tree isn’t enough. You must actually purchase it to receive the exit key.
This unlocks the Freedom at Last Steam achievement.
