DinoBones: Tidy Up the Museum Achievement Guide

In this guide, I cover all achievements in DinoBones: Tidy Up the Museum. I go through the 9 dinosaur skeletons, bone placement tips, cassettes, coins, photo achievements, and the extra achievements I can unlock while completing the museum.

I also include some useful information for finding the smaller bones and tracking my progress, along with the bone requirements for each dino.

My Tips and Basics Guideline

• I can tell what species the bones belong to by looking at the box. Each box contains bones for 2 different types of dinos.
• If I am unsure which dino is which, I can check the plaque at each exhibit. It shows which dino is there. There is also a map in front of the workshop, which is where I start. I can interact with the map to get a better view.
• There will be a lot of extremely tiny bones, such as teeth, joints, and toes. If I lose any, I have 2 options to find them. The first is the monocle, which unlocks at 50% for that given dino. It highlights that dino’s bones using the same color as the monocle.The second option is the Field Book, which unlocks at 95% for that given dino. When I use the Field Book, the remaining bone for that dino will spawn behind me and sparkle.I can check my progress using the TAB button.
• The first picture shows the monocles. The second picture shows the Field Books, which I find in the workshop.
• Smaller bones like to launch away when I pick up bones that are colliding with each other.
• Each bone placement will show a cold, warm, or hot color to indicate where that bone belongs. If I have a bone that belongs to the wrong dino, it will simply glow red.
• I can also tell which dino a bone belongs to while I am carrying it. The bones are automatically categorized by dino type and use the same colors as the monocles.
• Once I reach 10% expertise for a dino, all bones I am carrying for that dino will show as yellow. The bone in my current hand will also glow at its location on the diagram. Some bones will use a circle to help indicate their location.

Progress Type Achievements

Perfect Fit

Place your first bone in the right slot.

First, I have to fix the metal supports. The game calls these supports carriers. I just hit all the bubbles 5 times each to fully fix a carrier.

I cannot place any bones until the carriers are fixed.

Personally, I fixed all 9 before placing any bones. I recommend placing the larger bones from the pallets first, as they are easier to place and give me some extra space.

Fixing all 9 carriers also gives me another achievement, listed below.

Solid Foundations

Straighten all nine steel supports.

I go through all 9 exhibits and hit each bubble 5 times. I know when a carrier is finished because I get a visual of the full skeleton along with some music.

A Hundred Good Bones

Place 100 different bones in one museum.

This one is pretty easy and should come naturally if I plan on finishing the game.

I am not 100% sure what the game means by “different bones” and “in one museum.” I would assume it means different parts of a dino, such as the spine, feet, and ribs, which can go into any exhibit.

A Bit of Everything

Place at least one bone in each of the nine exhibits.

As the description says, I just need to place at least one bone in each of the 9 dino exhibits.

I don’t need to worry about this one if I am planning to finish the game.

Taking Shape

Place 500 different bones in one museum.

This is the same as the 100-bone achievement, but now I need to place 500 bones.

I don’t need to worry about this one if I am planning to finish the game.

A Thousand Pieces

Place 1,000 different bones in one museum.

Again, I don’t need to worry about this one if I am planning to finish the game.

Room for Three

Complete three different skeletons.

As the description says, I need to fully complete 3 different dinos.

Quite a Collection

Complete six different skeletons.

This works the same way as the achievement above, but I need to fully complete 6 different dinos.

Above It All

Complete the Brachiosaurus skeleton.

I just have to complete the dino in the dead center of the museum.

BinoBones

Complete all nine skeletons.

I need to place every possible bone for all 9 dinos. Basically, I need to complete the game.

Achievements During/After Building Full Skeleton(s)

Hammerhead

Pick up the hammer that falls when the Brachiosaurus’s head is complete.

I just need to complete the Brachiosaurus head. It only has 2 pieces.

Both pieces are found in this crate:

Frill Seeker

Follow the light from the Triceratops frill, open the workshop cabinet and collect the watering can.

Snowed In

Dig the snow globe out of the mammoth’s snowdrift.

From Wing to Wing

Collect the glider revealed by completing the Pteranodon’s wings.

Who’s There?

Collect the first model piece from the hole under the rug beside the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Built by Hand

Connect every piece of the model kit in the workshop.

A Greener Museum

Grow every museum garden to full size at least once.

If I don’t have the watering can yet, I get it by completing the Triceratops. I am currently checking which parts trigger it.

I use the watering can on every green grass exhibit.

Note: This excludes the Mammoth exhibit because it is covered in snow.

Right at Home

Set the snow globe down on a suitable surface beside the mammoth exhibit.

Come On In

Open the cat flap and let the cat into the museum.

Cassette Related

To get the cassettes, I need to complete the Parasaurolophus head.

All 9 cassettes are together in a cabinet in the workshop.

On the Record

Follow the Parasaurolophus call and open the cassette cabinet.

The Full Playlist

Play all nine cassettes at their matching exhibits kiosks.

Once I place all the cassettes with their corresponding dinos, they are automatically turned on.

I only hear each dino when I am close to it. I don’t need to sit there and listen to the entire cassette.

Photo Achievements

Lights, Camera

Follow the light from the skull dome, open the workshop drawer and collect the camera.

Say Meow

Take a photo with the cat visible in the frame.

I use the photo camera and take a picture of the cat. I don’t think I even need to save the photo or pin it on the wall.

Small Wonders

Take a photo with your assembled T. rex model and the snow globe both in view.

Museum Portraits

Photograph each of the nine completed exhibits.

I just take a photo of each dino that is fully completed.

I am not sure yet if I have to save all 9 photos to earn the achievement.

Coin Related Achievements

First, here are all 9 coin locations.

Note: I cannot pick up any coins until I unlock the coin press machine.

Starting in the Workshop

The first coin is on top of the plant pot.

Second

The second coin is right outside the workshop to the right of the front door.

Third

The third coin is around the corner.

Fourth

The fourth coin is to the left of the Triceratops exhibit stand.

Fifth

The fifth coin is by the double dino exhibit with the Spinosaurus and Kentrosaurus.

It is on the very right wall when I am facing the stairs.

Sixth

The sixth coin is by the Mammoth.

When I am facing the stairs, it is to the left, closest to the stairs, between the garbage can.

Seventh

The seventh coin is between a pallet by the Parasaurolophus and the wall from the Mammoth.

Eighth

The eighth coin is by the T-Rex.

It is on the right pillar closest to the stairs when I am looking toward the stairs.

Ninth

The Big Reveal

Follow the Kentrosaurus clue and uncover the souvenir coin machine.

No Empty Slots

Place all nine souvenir coins in the album.

More Than a Skeleton

For one species, finish its skeleton, add its coin to the album, and play its cassettes.

The Curator’s Signature

Complete all nine skeletons, fill the coin album, and play all nine cassettes.
